My family had dinner here on 5/12 at 5pm. The good points about the experience were that: 1. We were able to make reservations at the last minute as they had numerous tables open when they opened for dinner at 5pm. 2. The service was good. Our drinks were refilled multiple times and the food had good flavor and was served promptly. The lesser points about the experience were that: 1. Since they were so open they were taking people at 5pm who had reservations for 5:30, 5:40 and later so that when we were leaving the entire waiting area was now full of people who had 6:00-7:00 reservations who could not be seated because in essence their space was given away. 2. The kids menu is weak and almost nothing that was on the kids menu was actually available. Just about everything was a substitution for something else except for the dessert of worms in dirt that was very, very dry. 3. Anything meat related cam out a little cold any had to be sent back to get warmed up. If you've got no where else to go Grand Floridian Cafe is a decent alternative to a quick service Disney restaurant. Just don't expect too much.

This is the first five star restaurant I've found at DIsney World--and oh boy, I'm SO excited about finding a dining gem at Disney. As a Disney passholder, I've eaten at most of the cheap countertop restaurants in the parks. I absolutely love Disney, but I will concede that their countertop food is downright gross and the service restaurants are ridiculously overpriced (who wants to pay $27 for a mediocre lunch buffet?). The resorts offer much better dining options, and the Grand Floridan Cafe (GFC) is a fantastic choice. The GFC is nestled in the back of the Grand Floridian--which is itself spectacular. I ate lunch here with two of my friends around 2pm on Saturday. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but I think that was because it was such a weird time and the restaurant was operating with minimal waitstaff. The restaurant has large windows overlooking the garden/pool area--this allows plenty of natural light to fill the room. The tables are neatly set with a fresh rose gracing each centerpiece. I love the fact that the menu is so simple and straightforward--just the right number of selections. There are ten entrée choices and two additional options under "Chef's Recommendations." I ordered one of the recommendations--the Grand Floridian Burger--an $18 hamburger topped with lobster, asparagus, and horseradish-chive Hollandaise, served with a tomato salad. For $18, I had very high expectations. And they were met. The burger was wonderfully unique--full of flavors superior to any other burger I've ever tried. My friend ordered the ($12) Grand Sandwich--an open-faced hot ham, turkey, bacon, and tomato with Boursin cheese sauce. When I return here, this is what I'll order. I tried a bite, and it was phenomenal. If you're on a tight budget, bypass the burger and order this sandwich! Our waitress was AWESOME! Her name was Anne. Since we were dining at a relatively slow period of the day, Anne took time to talk to us and made great suggestions. We were very thirsty after spending the morning in Animal Kingdom, and Anne did well at keeping up with refills. Two more little things--drinks and desserts. The pomegranate lemonade is fantastic; order it. And there are four desserts available at lunch. They're tiny little individual sized desserts--$2.99 for one or $9.99 for a platter of all four. Brilliant. And delicious. Thank you, Disney, for creating such a magical little cafe.

Eating at the Grand Floridian Cafe was kind of a last minute decision. We were at the Altamonte Mall and were looking for a place to have dinner to celebrate our anniversary and found it while browsing Disney restaurants. We made our reservations online and headed over. We checked in and only had to wait about 5 minutes before being seated at a window table. It was dark by that time so no real views to speak of, however if the sun were out I think we would have been able to see the pool. The cafe isn't as elegantly decorated as the rest of the hotel, which you need to walk through to get to the restaurant entrance. We decided to dine a little tipsy so I ordered a Tennessee Honey and my wife got the Black Cherry Twist. Both were a little pricey but delicious. Like most Disney restaurants, the menu is not at all vast with about 6 choices in each course. Our appetizers and entrees were hit and miss. My wife got the Carmelized Onion Soup, with a heaping portion of cheese that was fun to watch her try to eat, and the Grand Floridian Burger, which is served with a chunk of lobster on it. She loved the burger but when I tried the beef alone, it tasted pretty standard. I got the Panko Crusted Lump Crab Cake, which was tasty but certainly did not have any lumps of meat. It was shredded a la tuna salad. The Braised Lamb Shank was perfectly tender but did not have that distinguishable lamb flavor. It tasted more like a pot roast and needed some more seasoning. The lamb was served with cheese grits, which had more of a mashed potato consistency. As strange as it may sound, it was the cheese grits that made me want to try the lamb and so because the grits didn't really turn out like grits, I was disapointed in the dish. Their deserts seemed very reasonably priced but that is because they are all miniature, sample size portions. We settled on the Lemon Cheese Cake and the Boston Cream Pie. Both were very good. The kitchen seemed a bit slow but our server was very friendly, which took the edge off. We had a fine evening but we will probably try other Disney offerings before coming back here.

I found the host/hostess to be hit or miss during my Grand Floridian stay. Mostly one particular hostess working the day shift during my stay. She never seemed to have availability and had a not so pleasant way about her. However, the day we actually managed a reservation I found the other Host/Hostess working to be very kind. Our server Adrian was wonderful. The butternut squash soup was very tasty! My steak was okay and mashed potatoes were too salty but my husband's pork chop was really good. We had some kind of fondue chocolate dessert with orange and I must say it was the best dessert I had dining at GF Cafe, Narcoosee's and Citricos! Good food in a casual atmosphere.

Lovely setting, but the tuna nicosee salad had tuna that was tough on the outside and raw on the inside. Medium-rare shouldn't be quite so extreme. The waitress was attentive, but the rest of the staff seemed oddly slow. They initially tried to seat us in a dark corner, and when we asked for a window seat - at lunch on a slow day, there were plenty available - the hostess did reseat us, though in slow motion. Overall disappointing. We loved every other restaurant we tried at Disney.

Decent overpriced food was overshadowed by S L O W service, incorrect meal orders and incorrectly split bill. Underwhelmed.

Very slow service. Got several dishes wrong. Forgot to split the bill.

Often overlooked, but always a reliable bet, the Grand Floridian Cafe stands as a pillar of perfected 'American' fare - from gorgeously crafted sandwiches to intricately concoted soups and salads, there really is something for everyone at this scenic, garden-overlooking spot! On my particular lunch visit, I enjoyed THE GRAND sandwich - because, c'mon, how can you go wrong with an entree that shares the name of the establishment? If you're trying to answer that question, I think I can one up you with a brief description of this indulgent entree, courtesy of the allears.com menu... "The Grand Sandwich - Open-faced hot Turkey, Ham, Bacon and Tomato, with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws $11.99" Heck yes.

The first time I was here I wasn't a huge fan of the place. Love the atmosphere and the service- but it fell short in the food department. I wasn't extremely happy with the pasta and shrimp dish, which I am in the minority with because I've heard many others love it. Then I had the Grand Floridian Burger.. A burger with hollandaise sauce, asparagus and... wait for it... LOBSTER. and not just a couple of pieces of lobster- a huge amount that almost covered the underside of the bun. Forget the fact that this burger doesn't have cheese- which wasn't really missed to tell you the truth- concentrate on what is actually present. I know, you're probably thinking it'd be hard for a taste as delicate as lobster to coexist with a burger but the people at the GF Cafe figured it out. I'll warn ya- it's a bit messy but for a disney entree- its priced well and DEFINITELY worth the mess.. I went twice on my last trip.

A total hidden gem in Disney! Great place to take a breakfast or lunch break from the Magic Kingdom in a quiet, peaceful, air conditioned environment. Ate here twice on my September 2011 Honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. Both times service was on par with a Disney signature restaurant and food was phenomenal. The citrus pancakes were SO GOOD and the Grand Flordiian Burger at lunch was ridiculous. Best of all it is blissfully quiet and low key. Perfect!

One of the best restaurants in its price range at Disney. The menu wasn't very extensive but the food was really good and the staff was super wonderful. Especially a wonderful server named Betsy who had me laughing all through lunch. It was one of the highlights on my trip to Disney.

  • Penny G.

What a lovely place for lunch. We chose to go at that time because of the price range at lunch vs. dinner. Same high quality food and the environment was even better at lunch because we were able to see the gorgeous flowers and the pool outside. I can't say enough about my lunch choice. If you go, be sure to try the Grand Sandwich. It does not come with any side dish, but is quite filling and absolutely delicious. The pasta selection for the day comes highly recommended also. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that our server was not very attentive. (Never offered to refill drinks until we had already paid the bill and were sitting chatting.)

Lately it seems that where I dine is largely determined by where my friends and clients stay when they visit Orlando. Today, a breakfast meeting brought me to the Grand Floridian Cafe in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. There is no question that the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a beautiful setting for a meeting. It tries to evoke turn of the century (not the most recent turn . . . the one before that!) Florida charm and it succeeds wonderfully. High ceilings, large windows, lots of natural lighting and tasteful furnishings all contribute to the sense that visitors are stepping back to the early 1900's. (I hope that is the hotel's intent but, regardless, that is my perception of it!) The Grand Floridian Cafe is located in the Resort and Spa. I located it with only a couple of hiccups along the way. When I arrived, the gate attendant rather vaguely told me to park across the street but did not really tell me how to get across the street. When I did finally get inside the facility, the employee with whom I consulted for directions to the Cafe gave me directions that were not accurate so I had a bit of an adventure in finding the Cafe. As a result, my client arrived at the restaurant before I did . . . not something that I wanted to have happen. When I did make it to the Cafe, it was a very nice setting -- like most high end hotel restaurants in Orlando. I was comfortable. The lighting was great. The linen table cloths were clean and freshly pressed. Everything was I would expect it to be, and equally unmemorable. Perhaps that is what a restaurant should be but I would like something more unique that would require me to pay more attention to my surroundings. Our server was very nice and engaged us in very pleasant conversation. Since we shared a common heritage, based on her name tag which indicated her country of origin, we quickly found a common ground for discussion and it helped to make my companions and I feel welcome. I ordered an egg white omelet with potatoes and dry wheat toast. My two companions ordered a fruit plate and a cheese omelet, respectively. Each of the orders was delivered promptly and was well prepared. The fruit on the fruit plate (strawberries, various melons, pineapple) was fresh and juicy and served with strawberry yogurt topped with granola. Our omelets were both well prepared -- neither runny nor over cooked. So why does the Grand Floridian Cafe merit only three stars? It just does not offer food that is comparable to the price that it charges. With tip, breakfast for three came to $53. At an off-property restaurant, the same meal would have cost about half that amount. Yes, we did get all of the Disney bells and whistles -- cold but immaculate setting, great service, excellent ambiance and very good but not remarkable food. If the value proposition for dining at Grand Floridian Cafe were better, I would have given it a four star review. Unfortunately, that is not likely to be the case any time soon.

Ate two breakfasts here last week. First was very nice, eggs, bacon, biscuits, coffee. Service was wonderful. Second time was problematic. Server was more interested in talking about his vacation plans. Kept staring out the window as we gave our order. Ordered same breakfast as day before - egg, bacon, biscuits, etc. Food had cooled down and biscuits were ice cold and soggy. When I asked for a fresh biscuit, server grabbed it off my plate and disappeared. Later he returned with one lukewarm biscuit on a plate. You never know what you're going to get at Disney.

The only five star experience we had at Disney World. Knowing that we had reservations for my anniversary, I contacted the Disney Bakery to have a special dessert made for this occasion. The staff took my little surprise and made the meal a memorable one for my wife and family as well. My steak was perfect and the boys had a multitude of items to choose from... with an added benefit of a small fruit tray that was super fresh and enjoyed by all. The chef had created a special pork tenderloin dish that we asked for and received the recipe for... it was that good. Add to it that we were having a great day in the parks, and we were in heaven. I can see why the Floridian is a favorite destination of those travelling to WDW, as everything was done to perfection... including the white chocolate slipper dessert with chocolate mousse inside and raspberries. It was decadent and well worth the smile that it brought to her face. Thanks GFC for the one perfect meal!

Nice option when looking for a sit down at the resorts. I had a delish cheddar soup here that was actually better than LeCellier! Can you believe it? The atmosphere is so pretty and light. Just makes you smile. The service was highly attentive.

This casual sit down restaurant offered a simple menu of delicious fare. The first time I went here, I tried the Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp was plentiful and the grits were creamy and flavorful. This dish truly was a very nice meal. Now the next night, we ate here again and I tried the Grand Floridian Burger. Now this burger was possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life- honestly. This juicy burger was topped with red onion marmalade, fresh grilled onions, a special lettuce, and juicy, succulent lobster meat. It was fantastic. Our waiter was also pretty cool. Although during our second visit to this café we had a different waitress, our waiter from the previous night came over to greet and conversate with us for a little bit. It was a very nice touch.

We found this restaurant to be similar to the rest at DisneyWorld. Overpriced, although not as badly as some of the other restaurants, and acceptable food. Our server was very attentive and was the highlight of our meal. We stayed at Grand Floridian and were trying to find a more reasonable priced option. We found out the next day about the 24 hour cafe and ate there a few times.

So far the BEST restaurant we've found at Disney. We were late for our reservation by 40 minutes and arrived after closing time - they still seated us and never rushed us at all. Our server Simon was pleasant and knowledgeable about every menu item and provided great service. We ordered 3 ribeye steaks and salmon. Allof the steaks were cooked perfect as was the salmon. The parmasean fries were a great compliment. We've had some real bad food at Disney and this place made up for it. We made another reservation again tonight. Highly recommended!

I had lunch here the day we arrived at Disney World, I was staying at the Grand Floridian Resort so it was an easy convenient place to dine while waiting for my room to be ready. The decor is lovely - light colors and plenty of windows that create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. This is a cafe that generally serves lighter fare so the decor matches the food beautifully. I had the French onion soup to start, a sandwich, and I finished off with a key lime tart. Everything looked and tasted great. I wouldn't consider this a "must" restaurant while at Disney but it's a great place to go if you're in the area.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for our last dinner at the Disney's World Parks. We originally wanted to try the "Be Our Guest" restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but they were booked out for the evening. However, this place sure didn't disappoint. Reservation was made an ease with the My Disney Experience app (love how useful the app was on our trip). As you might expect, the Grand Floridian Cafe is located in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. From Magic Kingdom, you can either take the monorail or a small boat over. Once here, you might feel as if you stepped back in time. Staff here are fully costumed and display that charming southern hospitality. As for the food, I would have to say it's a little on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it. My boyfriend and I ended up ordering the cheese plate for an appetizer, we shared the char-crusted New York strip, and a must, the Disney's dessert sampler for dessert. The cheese plate was a bit disappointing because they only gave you four slices of cheese. These cheese are the same variety as the one they serve in the Garden View Tea Room. However, it did come with delicious fresh honeycomb and this amazing sweet block of goodness (jam I suppose???). The New York strip came split and was beautifully presented. We also added grilled shrimp to our order because we were feeling extra fancy. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. Side items were good as well. The dessert sampler was out-of-this-world CUTE. It came with a berry tart, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, a cup of cappuccino dessert of some sort, and of course, a solid milk chocolate Mickey!!!

This by far you should avoid at all cost. You would be far better off if staying at Disney to going to the Wave unless you want to wait forever. Make sure you have plenty of time to waste and add another 30 minutes to that. It's horrible. The wait for what it's cafeteria style food for $$$ basically nothing. I waited over 1.3 hours after being told 30 mins. They had over 20 tables available but I was told that reserved guest were coming. They take the whole imagination thing too far. Imaginary guest they mean. They also give you sad excuses for why not just sit you and the hostess saids "I agree you" but I am told what to do. Ridiculous. Shame on Disney. If I were you avoid this place altogether. I had to give a star but I would give them no stars and two thumbs down. Daniel M

This spot was definitely a good find near Magic Kingdom for dinner. All of the sit-down restaurants in the park had around a two hour wait, so we searched the nearby hotels for places to eat. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait fifteen to twenty minutes before we could sit down, but the service was all very friendly. My boyfriend and I had the lobster burger and the orecchiette, but I personally think the orecchiette was better. They also have a free bread starter, which was great from our long day at the park. I highly recommend asking for more of the raisin bread - it was delicious! Overall, it was a good experience, and if you sit near the windows, you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom!

There are many restaurants to chose from in the Magic Kingdom area, and at the Grand Floridian resort. The Grand Floridian Cafe is off the main lobby and is not the one with the character breakfast. It has good, attentive service (the manager made sure everyone was happy and well cared for), a limited but unique menu and good quality food. There were not a lot of options for a vegetarian but I found something that was satisfying and well-made. The cafe sits between the "quick service" and the high end options but it's a nice mid-range restaurant, with a good view of the pool and activity going on around the resort. It's a quiet break from the chaos and characters.

The food does not even matter (it is delicious however), it's all about the venue. The Grand Floridian is a must and this cafe offers affordable prices to go see it! Seriously, it is just gorgeous. Not the best place to stay since it is sooooo expensive but if you can make the time to visit, please do it! Also very accessible from MK via monorail.

This restaurant is a lesser known restaurant in the powerhouse group of restaurants at the Grand Floridian. I would say that their service and food is top notch. We were promptly seated and the server was able to explain our Disney Dining Plan entitlements without any hesitation or hiccup. It was very refreshing and everything tasted great. Probably will come back to eat.

A really nice menu with some unique offerings like the burger with lobster on top and the breakfast eggs Benedict with lobster hash. Portions are large and I suggest sharing an entree or larger breakfast item. Our service at lunch was painfully slow but Sergio at breakfast restored our faith. A very nice setting and though choked with yelling kids, they seemed to seat the adults with out kids away from the more boistorus of the smaller clientel.

Had lunch here the night we stayed and decided to try this cafe! Had to wait about 10 minutes and then our buzzer went off! Told us they didn't serve breakfast after 12 and then a table next to us got breakfast served! I was like what bunk!!!... However for having one of the best GLUTEN-FREE sandwiches Ive ever had is 5 star worthy in my books. They had gluten-free bread and the chef came out Disney style and told me everything else was good on it. I had a German sandwich which had sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and corned beef. Was super good, and a delicious iced coffee to drink it up with. Next time I'm in Orlando I'm def making a stop here again.

Despite the fact that we had to make reservations for 2 for lunch we had a great time! The Surf and Turf Burger an Angus Chuck Burger, Butter-poached Lobster, Red Onion Marmalade, and Arugula on a Brioche Bun with Chips was outstanding, and my fiancé had the The Cafe Sandwich an open-faced hot Ham, Smoked Turkey Breast, Bacon, and Tomato with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws which she devoured so it must have been good!! Our waiter was hilarious and thanked us for saving them for last on our vacation! I will definitely be back!!

Made a breakfast reservation for 8:30, parking was a jiffy didn't even have to pay the parking fee to go to the cafe :) beautiful resort! Wish I could afford that;) adorable dressed up staff friendly as ever! Beautiful landscape as well. Ordered the mi key waffles, my boyfriend had an nice fluffy fresh yummy bagel and the American.. We had the mimosa as well (boy was that strong and wonderful for 8:30 in the morning, 5 o'clock somewhere right). Our waitress was Maria from Colombia, and she was very friendly and right on point with everything. It was a great start to a magic day. Oh and don't forget to add more Mickey spunk and energy, order the adorable cappuccino, Mickey is done in cinnamon on top. Absolutely adorable and a nice touch.

Very good for an "inexpensive" dinner when at Disney. I had a reservation for later in the evening, but they allowed me to be seated early as it was my travel day and I was exhausted from my flight. I had the Cream of Mushroom Soup (Soup of the Day) and the Grand Floridian Burger. The soup was perfectly seasoned, creamy, warm, and comforting. Just what I needed after a long day! And the burger... oh that burger. It should be illegal for a burger to be that good. Perfectly cooked to order, all the flavors blended together perfectly. This has become a "must stop" for me!

    1. Place was cute... The Decor and uniforms were flowery and cute... The place is sun lit as well... Very vibrant with energy. 2. The servers were as sweet as ever and very poise. 3. Every dish that came to the table was delicious... My favorites were the seasonal soup (potato) and seasonal salad (pear salad) 4. Yes I do recommend the place, it had a very warm feel to it... :)

SWIM 4 GOOD FOOD Luckily I didn't have to but I was willing to in order to get a decent meal at the Magic Kingdom. There are two great restaurants in the Magic Kingdom but they are always booked at dinner time. Hmm I wonder why? People love good food. I was rocking the new Disney App which was not allowing me too book any of my reservations. So I had to go old school and call Disney reservations. Nothing works better then dialing a phone number and speaking to a human. We were able to secure reservations but we learned the fancy place we had just booked on the phone needed fancy attire. Our operator was able to luckily switch the reservations for us. Disney charges $10 per person for no shows or late arrivals. At first our operator freaked out but she came through and moved them with no extra charge. Crisis adverted because we were actually talking to a human. We all know the computer would have messed it up. On a side note you will not have to swim here. There are two ways to arrive. You can take the resort monorail which is the first stop or take the boat to the hotel which is the first stop also. So get out of the lake and arrive via water or land craft, we're not alligators, which you might see up close if you chose to swim. The Grand Floridian is a beautiful hotel and employees some of the best chefs in the world because we saw it on the Travel Channel. Disney has to with room prices starting at $800 a night here. Rich people like good food. Ha! No popcorn or Mickey ear pretzels for them. So we were able to come into the cafe with our Magic Kingdom attire for a dinner break. We arrived 30 minutes early and we were able to grab our table sooner then expected which was great because we needed to get back to the Disney Magic across the lagoon. Our waiter Paul was really nice. I would have expected a little more polish on a waiter at this type of restaurant but I'm sure this is just a stepping stone for him in the culinary world of Disney. Everyone has to learn somewhere. There is a kids menu here. Our princess went with milk, soup, pizza and something called dirt and worms. Don't worry they weren't real instead it was some gummy worms over pudding and crushed Oreos. She loved everything and after walking for 11 hours she needed a good meal. My wife and I decided to order a bunch of things. We started out with the French Onion Soup and the seasonal salad. Both were really good. We took turns passing them back and forth to each other. I would highly recommend them. We then moved on to the crab cake which was good but not the best I've ever had. The star of the show was the pasta with chicken, prosciutto, peas & an asiago cheese sauce. Probably one of the better pastas I've had in a long time. Ordering Italian is hard for me because I cook it at home and it never seems good in a restaurant. My compliments because now I want to learn how to make an asiago cheese sauce. Yeah it was that good. We also had some wine. Perfection in a glass. The Magic Kingdom is no Epcot and it is hard to find a drink in the park. In fact, I've never had a drink in the gates of the Magic Kingdom. I hear drinks are available at Tony's and Be Our Guest but we've never gotten into those locations. The boat trip and glasses of adult grape juice is worth the trip over. Hey we all need to eat and drink! The hostess also set me up with a power plug. Yeah my phone was going down for the count and we were staying until 3am. I needed juice for another 10 hours. So it was worth it to grab some food for my family and my iPhone. I learned do not ask for items from other servers because they will not bring it to you. Instead they go and find your server and he brings it to your table. So there is not a team effort among the waitstaff. I did not like that but I have no idea if this is a company policy or the staff not liking each other. Hey I'm at a magical place and I'm not getting involved. Just figure it out. Once dinner was done we strolled down to the boat dock for our return trip back to the Magic Kingdom via the Polonesian Village. There is never enough hours in the day to experience everything Disney has to offer but you can sure try. I would really recommend leaving the park and visiting one of the many restaurants at the various hotels. There's always a boat, monorail or bus that can get you there! Stop reading and get eating.

We made a reservation and weren't seated until approx. 30 minutes later. The people in my party that got the beef, enjoyed their food. I got the pork chop and it was just really hard and tough to cut through. The knife was also very blunt. In short, if you can't get the beef, don't get the pork.

This is a table side service inside the Grand Floridian Hotel. It is definitely a casual place but you still get the same great Disney service here. I did make reservations here but had to wait an additional 15 minutes to sit down, which wasn't too bad. The items ordered were the French Onion Soup, Grand Floridian Burger, and Shrimp and Grits. My favorite out of all the items were the Shrimp and Grits. The grits were creamy from the marscarpone but after while it got a little too rich. The shrimp was cooked well but there is not much of the andouille sausage. The burger was as expected - average. I didn't think there would a big lobster tail in there, but even if it did, it wouldn't make much of a difference. The burger has a sweet sauce in there, sort of like a jam, which is not something I want in a burger. It also could be a little juicier. The French Onion Soup was very flavorful but a tad on the salty side this evening. If you were trying to catch the fireworks here, you wouldn't be able to see the Wishes show. However, if you dinner ended around 9PM, you could walk to the marina and catch the show from a distance. They play the audio clip at Narcoosee restaurant so you can hear it from the outside. It's a great place to get away from the park to have dinner when you want something casual but great service.

This is a fantastic cafe in Walt Disney World at the Grand Floridian. I had the appetizer of Pan-seared Scallops ($11.49) with Bacon-laced Arugula, Spinach, and Fennel Meyer Lemon Butter Emulsion. They were very good and the sauce fantastic, but were on the small side. My favorite is the Grand Floridian Burger ($18.49) - Angus Chuck Burger, Butter-poached Lobster, Red Onion Marmalade, and Arugula on a Brioche Bun with Chips.

We have been here three times for breakfast over three years. It is such a pretty, sunny restaurant with dependably excellent food we try our best to visit when in the area. None of the average, overpriced buffet style food is served here. We shared eggs Benedict and pecan cranberry pancakes. Both were excellent. I'd skip the ham and cheese omelette - it was foamy and a bit dry. The potatoes looked like hashbrowns cooked in a 1.5" deep skillet & came as a wedge apparently needing salt. My daughter's 'kid' meal was perfect - a vegetable omelette with cheese with a side of strawberry yogurt & honey wheat toast. It is in the Grand Floridian which is worth a visit as well.

We really enjoyed our lunch here! Excellent service and very good food. They were very accommodating with our food preferences and everything came out quickly, hot and cooked to perfection. Salmon was excellent, as well as the ruben. Service got very slow toward the end of the meal. Maybe because the kitchen was closing? Recommend not scheduling a meal near closing. Sat for a half hour after we finished eating waiting for dessert. I will say though, it was worth the wait!

Stopped in for breakfast when we discovered that almost none of the restaurants in the main park have breakfast options. I suppose the figure that if you are in the park you aren't going to want to sit down for breakfast. Our server, Christian, was very friendly and certainly made us feel welcome. The Coffee at Disney is surprisingly good, so the better half and I shared a pot of the Grand Blend Press Coffee. I suppose when you have as many guests as Disney does, you'd better have good coffee! For an entree it was the Vanilla-laced French Toast, with Bacon. It was good, but not great. But I was hungry so it was satisfying. The big drawback I suppose is the price, but since you are on a Disney Property at a Disney Hotel, you cannot be too surprised. I wouldn't discourage anyone from coming here, but it is possible that breakfast isn't the very best meal for the Grand Floridian Cafe, for that meal I recommend the Kona Cafe over at the Polynesian instead.

Grand Floridian Cafe is a nice option if you want to have a nice quiet lunch away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. It can be pretty loud and busy at breakfast, but lunch here is nice and relaxing. Let me recommend the salad with apples, and the Grand Sandwich which has this boursin cheese sauce on it. Yum! Prices are what you would expect at Disney, but I would rather pay $12 for a sandwich and sit in a quiet room and be waited on than pay $10 for a cheeseburger in tomorrow land.

I have gone to this spot on each of my 16 Disney trips and have always loved it but this time it was AWFUL. I was told it was an hour wait which did not upset me because I should have known to make a reservation. What did upset me however was the way the hostess treated me. As soon as I walked up she said "we are very busy would you like to go to the food court? It's the same thing" ! I replied that I did not spend the money on the deluxe dining package to go eat fast food. Well let me tell you I would have been better off! The food was cold, portioned for a five year old and disgusting. It was so bad I got very sick and had to go back to the room.

Located at the elegant Grand Floridian Resort, this is their standard table service restaurant (a notch below their signature restaurants Narcoosee's and Citricos and several notches below Victoria and Albert's). It cost a single table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. The food was ok...nothing great, nothing terrible. I had the shrimp cocktail, which was not a standard preparaation. It consisted of poached shrimp with a salsa verde and a tomato-avocado relish. It was good, but I prefer the traditional preparation with its snap of horseradish. I also had the New York Strip...this was again inoffensive. It was done to a perfect medium-rare, but still tasted somewhat gritty and bordered on being a little dry. Nevertheless, I have had worse. We passed on dessert since we were headed to the Futureland Dessert Party later that evening. Overall, it was not bad, but I am not inclined to go out of my way to return. Like all Disney restaurants, it is overpriced to those paying cash...the damage is not as bad if going by the Disney Dining Plan.

This review is strictly based upon our visit for breakfast one morning in late September. On the last day of our visit we had a few hours before we needed to be at the airport for our return home, so I thought heading over to the Grand Floridian from the Polynesian Resort might be a good idea. I was a bit concerned, however, since we had no reservation. To my surprise, not only did we get seated immediately, there were only a couple other people in the dining room when we arrived. The food was a bit pricey, but definitely worth the splurge. I had the Butler Steak and Eggs, which was delicious and extremely satisfying seeing as how I was famished. I can say it's easily one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The person I was with had the Lobster Eggs Benedict, and while I didn't try it, he kept going on and on about how amazing it was. Needless to say, our food was delicious and I'll definitely return when I get the chance. What made the experience even better was that the server was extremely personable, friendly and willing to offer suggestions. Since the place was practically empty we struck up a conversation with him and found out that he was extremely knowledgeable about pretty much everything on the Disney property, and shared stories with us about where he was from, etc. (It was a welcomed conversation in this instance, especially since he was originally from the same city we were from.) It was an extremely pleasurable experience. The server gave that special "Disney touch", and the meals were visually appealing and delicious. I would definitely like to try the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner sometime soon.

Got us in 10 minutes before our reservation time. Our server, Robert, was phenomenal!! Super attentive and sweet as pie. I had the lobster eggs Benedict, the eggs and asparagus were cooked to perfection. My husband had the American (bacon, eggs, sausage, FL breakfast potatoes). His was equally delicious. The Lobster Benedict was a little bit pricey but well worth it. Robert was on top with refills and any other needs we had. As a bonus annual pass holders receive 10% off the bill (which we happily passed that savings onto Robert).

Horrible service. We went in at 5:30 pm for dinner. The service is so slow that we didn't leave until after 7pm. The children were getting hungry and angry with the long wait. Food is okay. The poor and slow service overpowered it's good quality.

We went on Christmas day and were greeted with exceptional service! Although the restaurant itself was pretty standard, the entrées were delicious. I enjoyed my steak with a cream sauce (ask for extra) and my husband's Grand Floridian burger was perfect (and filling). The dessert, a fondue, was just okay. The fruit was flavorful but the brownies were bland, maybe a little too much cacao. Overall, the meal was excellent, but I would skip dessert next time!

Great service (server was Janie). Food was hot and served as ordered. Best French onion soup on property. Salads are fresh and huge. Burgers are cooked to order. Everything we had was wonderful. Decorating is a bit 80's with track lights and mauve paints but it's nice. One of our favorite mid range sit down options on property. More of a grown up feel and few kids, which is a nice change of pace. Short lunch hours, opens at 1130. You can almost always walk up without a reservation.

Atmosphere: 5/5 It's a lovely atmosphere to sit and have lunch or early dinner. It has a sweet casual elegance. Food: 5/5 I ended up ordering two appetizers as my meal since the slew of appetizers on the menu all sounded so wonderful... and looking around the dining room... I was not alone. I was very pleased with my choice. French Onion Soup:5/5 Soooo gooood. Cheesy bready goodness. Crab Cakes: 4/5 I absolutely love the sauce that came with them and they were also perfectly light, fluffy and crispy. Service: 4/5 We had a bit of a chatty server where we felt like there was more chit-chat going on than efficient service.

GFC is one of our go to restaurants for breakfast on Disney property. The vanilla laced French toast is delicious as well as their eggs Benedict. Our son says the French toast is one of his favorites so definitely a hit with kids too.

We have been twice, once with our toddler and once just as adults. Both times the service was attentive and food good. -with the toddler they brought her food first, and made great attempts to entertain her. Obviously as this is Disney World it is what you would hope to happen but it's still a nice surprise when it does! -with just adults our server was great, chatted with us for a while, and had a some great recommendations for drinks. It's a great place to go to get the grand Floridian experience without having to do a character meal. I took off one star because I feel like the menu is kind of limited. I don't like to eat meat or seafood so I usually end up with a salad and the French onion soup (which is actually phenomenal) but it would be nice to feel like there were more choices.

First of all the resort it's self deserves 4 stars, it's beautiful! This cafe was so good, I got a turkey burger and it was so delicious. Only complaint is that our waitress messed drink orders and brought my aunt the wrong salad dressing, the place isn't cheap so good service is expected. We also all states with a soup and I got chicken noodle which was also delicious. And it a very beautiful place

Come eat at the resorts, even if your not staying there. Do not eat inside the park, especially if you are going to celebrate with a nice mean for a special occasion, like Valentine's Day. First, it is important to note that we selected this establishment for three reasons: (1) Shrimp and Grits, (2) we could take the monorail there easily from Magic Kingdom, and (3) we could order drinks from a full bar. Well the monorail ended up being down for maintenance until 7pm. Our dinner reservations were for 5pm. That put a wrench in our plans. Then while waiting for the boat to go over to the Grand Floridian Resort, the boats went down. We had to walk over and take a bus and ended up being about 20 minutes late for our reservations. I had to call the reservation line to make sure we would not make the bus trip only to find out we got charged for being a no-show. Since it was technically Disney's fault, they made an exception and allowed us to arrive 20 minutes late for our reservation. While (2) was complicated some, we were still excited for (1) and (3), and luckily, (1) and (3) lived up to the hype because the Shrimp and Grits were excellent and the White Russians were delicious. Service was very good. Friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. If anything, it was too fast, but that might have been because we were late and they wanted us to get in and out so more people could be seated. Nevertheless, we ordered a 2nd drink and took our sweet time, but I am getting ahead of myself, so lets back track to the beginning of the meal. Besides good service, the establishment was beautiful. The Grand Floridian really is one of the more elegant looking resorts. I have never stayed at any of the resorts, but I have eaten at a few, and I was very very impressed with the decor and grand feeling I felt upon walking inside. We rushed through the lobby, we were late, and over to the Grand Floridian Cafe. We were quickly seated and almost immediately greeted by our waitress. We said we needed some time to select drinks. We browsed through the extensive drink selection, but both decided that a regular old White Russian sounded better than the advertised cocktails. They did a fine job making the White Russian, strong enough to give you a buzz, but not so strong as yo gross you out. I ordered the Orecchiette Pasta with grilled chicken and asiago cream sauce. It was spectacular and they really loaded it up with chicken. My fiancee got the shrimp and grits. We both thoroughly cleaned our plates and left with a full and pleased feeling. Since it was Valentine's Day, we went for dessert, even though we normally skip dessert. We did the dessert sampler. The solid chocolate Mickey, OH WOW! SUGAR RUSH! The Boston Cream Pie and Lemon Cheesecake were our favorites out of the sampler. I highly recommend leaving the park and coming to a resort for dinner, especially if you do not have to bring kids along. It is a nice break from the craziness inside the park, there is just something a bit more relaxing inside the resort. Most important, you get better food and drinks, for a better price, compared to anything inside the actual parks. The Grand Floridian Cafe truly makes for a grand experience.

Breakfast is wonderful. Many options, priced right. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly servers. The french toast is delicious as is the smoked salmon. They even have a Mickey waffle for the kids. The cinnamon on the cappaccino in the shape of a Mickey face is so cute! Great way to start the day.

I rarely write reviews but most impressive after decades of dining is that they offered my wife a black napkin so her black pants don't get lint on it. Leave it to Disney to watch the details. And this was just breakfast service!

So I decided to make a reservation here because it was highly recommended but I wasn't too impressed. Being a non meat eater, there really isn't much to choose from here. I got the chickpea fritters which weren't bad but for the price of this restaurant it was not a good choice. The one thing I will say is that the drink menu is pretty good. My mom had an alcoholic drink which she really liked and I had a non-alcoholic drink. The waitress was very nice and very accommodating. I ordered the coconut elixir with wild berry foam and asked her what the foam was. She went in the back and found the canister it comes in, which is similar to the Marshmallow Foam on the LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern. It is this brand called "Fomz" and is very low in calories. This was nice for a late night snack but that's about it, I mean unless you are one of those uppity hoity-toity housewives who needs a rare filet mignon and a glass of Cabernet (or whatever) at Disney World LOL

Good dinner value compared to the rest of the Disney area. My girlfriend and I split the surf and turf burger and the chicken prosciutto pasta, and both were delicious. The service was also great, and the appetizer bread was a nice touch

It's a kids friendly restaurant (Disney right?) tho kids meals are not too impressive. Both rice and grill chicken are too dry and tasteless that my kids turned out eating adult food. The Grand Floridian burger is excellent, juicy beef topped with lobster meat is a plus! Tuna salad is simple yet a delicious and healthy choice! We are a little disappointed at the NY strip that it should be medium, but it came out burned on the outside and no where near juicy on the inside. It's over price for that kinda quality. However, the Dessert Sampler is too cute to be true, had 4 delicious choices on the plate to share. We'd totally go for dessert again!

This place is a little like a rich grandmother style house. Lace draperies, wall paper, gaudy fake flowers, but it's still grand! And grand is always very vice. This year, we went to about 20 different Disney restaurants and this place was my second favorite (first is Raglan Road Irish Pub). My Husband ordered the lobster burger and claims it was the best burger EVER in his life. 2 other adults had steak which was delicious. I had the Salmon tasted pretty good. They had a neat feature here. Dessert for 2. You get this long rectangular plate with different samples of small cakes. Yum!

Six family members had dinner here (4 adults 2 kids). We were seated within 5 mins of checkin near the front of the restaurant. The menu is not as extensive as other casual restaurants at WDW but still offered good choices. They must have reacted to some of the negative reviews in the last 3 months because we adults enjoyed the entrees. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and had a surprisingly delicious marinade-type flavor. The sauce you see in some previous photos is no longer added at the kitchen but rather given in a separate pourer. I really appreciated that change since I don't like ANY sauce on my steak. If you're planing to get an "app as dinner", be prepared that there are only two scallops if you choose that. I think my Dad, a veteran buffet restaurant patron, wasn't too pleased. He made up for it by eating his grandson's pasta dish (that of course he barely touched.) Our server was friendly enough and was definitely on par for this class of restaurant. She really did her best and I appreciate that. Overall this is a nice place to have a casual sit down meal but I would recommend the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian instead. (One monorail stop from GF)

Very very slow service. Waited over 1/2 hour to be seated, even though we had a reservation. Once seated well over 1/2 hour until we were served. Magic Band unable to be used for payment. Not the typical Disney experience. It has been two hours and we are still sitting at table trying to pay our bill.

This place is wonderful! We made reservations a few hours prior to dinner with no problem and waited under 5 minutes once checked in. The hostess saw my son wearing my birthday pin and I laughed and told her he had lost his and she came to our table once we were sat with his own pin with his name on it, he was so happy. Our server was such a nice man and very on the ball with eveything. My son and I ordered food that was not on the menu (kids pizza and I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad... Not on the dinner menu) dan ordered the steak. Dan and I ordered the cheese plate to start and the French onion soup, both are absolutely phenomenal! We are getting married at Disney in April 2015 and have chosen the GF cafe as our wedding reception location, SO EXCITED! I didn't order dessert but Caleb asked for a bowl of plain vanilla ice cream and Dan got the Boston cream pie.. The waiter brought out Caleb's ice cream with a candle and brought me a huge cupcake with a candle and he was singing! What a great time we had there

Wow... 5 Stars may not be high enough! Me and my family are Disney fanatics! As Annual Pass Holders, we find ourselves eating on property at Disney very frequently. Sadly, the Disney magic is not always presented in the restaurants, while the prices are usually way too expensive! More than not, we leave many restaurants feeling overcharged and unsatisfied! Enter "The Grand Floridian Cafe"... (7/15/12 My Anniversary) off the bat we are greeted by extremely friendly and personable counter staff. We were quickly seated and waited on by fantastic waitress...and then it arrived... our food. My wife ordered "The Floridian Burger" and I got the "Shrimp and Grits" (who could pass up a southern staple like shrimp and grits). Don't discount my tastes or expectations because I ordered grits... I am absolutely as picky as they come and this place delivered. The food was stellar!!! As most couples do we spit and took half of each others food and they were both amazing. By far the BEST FOOD we have EVER EATEN at Disney World. If you come to Disney World, make sure to add this place to your schedule. They do accept dining plan by the way.

Much more reasonably priced than the other restaurants at the Grand Floridian, but no less pleasant of an experience. This restaurant is very nice and manages to feel special without feeling stuffy. The food is flavorful and well prepared. For my money, I'd skip the more expensive Grand Floridian options and eat here every time.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is a hidden Disney gem that features some of the best hospitality around and also excellent dishes for dinner. The strip steak here never disappoints, and the ambience here is much more laid back than most of Disney's jam packed restaurants. The Cafe is never too crowded, and you don't have to deal with the noise level that is present at many other restaurants on site. While there's no characters here to dine with you, there's plenty of good food and a great wait staff to keep company with. I always make sure to have dinner at the Cafe whenever I'm in Orlando, and it has never disappointed. Every single dish I've had here, whether it be the shrimp pasta, the shrimp steak, or the salmon; has always been delicious.

While we have had some very nice breakfasts here in the past, yesterday's experience was awful. Didn't get our food until after an hour and fifteen min wait. Once it arrived the food was really bad. Over cooked steak, eggs scrambled instead of over easy, and hash browns from the quick service cafeteria next door. All bad. We think the eggs came from next door as well. My lobster benedict came with hard eggs and over cooked lobster. The lobster seemed freezer burned as well. The food appeared to have been just thrown in the plate. No presentation was attempted. They comped our meal, as they should have, and then offered us fast passes to make up for it which was a nice gesture.

we came here twice for lunch and the food is good, but service is lacking. it wasn't horrible service, but i didn't feel taken care of. the crab cakes were delicious and we especially enjoyed the cole slaw. i had the grand floridian burger which was different and delicious! we also tried the salmon and chicken caesar salad. for dessert get the chocolate fondue - they put grand marnier in it!

You had me at lobster burger. Buttery-awesomey-lobster on top of a perfectly cooked burger. I ended up eating the whole thing even though I wasn't hungry at all. Things are pricey, but it's Disney so somewhat to be expected. The staff was accommodating. We were kind of "that table" who had strange requests. One of us had to take her daughter back to the room so we had to get one of our meals to go. We also has some other random requests with putting the lobster on the side of the burger (don't worry that wasn't me who requested that). A good place at Disney.

I had dinner here last night with a friend and all I can say is that I can't get that burger out of my mind (Grand Floridian Burger with the butter-poached lobster and Angus chuck burger)!!!!! Delicious!!! My friend had the special of the evening which was salmon, she said hers was "awesome". I highly recommend this burger to everyone!! The waitress and staff were all very polite, attentive and courteous as well.

Great service and really good soups, but the main dishes seem to be going slightly down in quality over the past three years (thus 4 out of 5 stars). I know it's Disney, but even so, the prices seem a bit high ($19 for a pasta bowl). Still, it is a very nice and casual atmosphere with a beautiful view almost all the way around the property.

Sweet little cafe. We were seated immediately for dinner on a weeknight around 5:30 without reservations. We tried eating there again on the weekend, and it was booked. So I'd suggest reservations. Staff was very polite. (Pricey, but hey, it's Disney.) The butternut soup was warm and rich. The french onion soup was probably the beat I've ever had! Steak was good. Orrichete pasta was delish. Sidenote: Since it is the holidays, you can see the AMAZING lifesize gingerbread house in the lobby!

I have to admit, I was a little scared of this place. After staying at the Grand Floridian and seeing a line of children and strollers parked outside at every meal, it could not be good. But, we were dining with a two- and four-year-old who had been in the 90 degree park all day and we weren't sure how they'd hold up at dinner. The food was good. I had the shrimp and grits, which is something I had never eaten before and it was really good. The sauce was a creamy red sauce that was slightly spicy and the grits were very creamy. I started with the salad which was also very big. But huge. I had to share it. I had a bite of my husband's burger. It was delicious. Fries were okay, nothing special. Several people had a bite of my friend's steak and they all liked it. For dessert, there was a beautifully presented dessert with a chocolate Mickey in the middle. I only tried the key lime pie and it was tasty. As for atmosphere: well, it's the kind if place that you don't have to worry if your kids are a little unsettled, but somehow not mind-numbingly noisy. Service was slow, but they did bring out the kids' food quickly. If you don't have children and don't want to be surrounded by them at dinner (this is usually the case for us), I wouldn't venture near, but it's a great place for families.

The food was a 4, value was a 3. Considering that most of the Disney restaurants are now serving similar fare at inflated prices because of the meal plan offering, the cafe seems to be different. I had the Grand Burger, perfectly done with a decent amount of lobster. The side of house made chips were terrible compared to my favorite Cafe 1739. I could have done without the overly buttered and toasted bun, however it was fresh. Others enjoyed the pork chop, which was tender and flavorful. The side of sweet potatoes were "pretty blah" Would definitely order it again, maybe a different side... Chicken with Risotto was good. The risotto had lots of mushrooms and was fresh, while the chicken was tender. This would be a reorder as well. Value. Seems that Disney is back to raising the food prices. I suspect to demonstrate the value of the Guest meal plans. However, the locals and the cast members that want to eat on property, are being forced to pay these higher prices. I'm not happy about it, but it seems that the Cast haven't revolted yet. In summary, The Cafe is a great retreat from the hectic theme parks for a refreshing meal, in a civilized atmosphere.

Surprisingly good for a mid-tier restaurant in a Disney hotel. Salmon with sticky rice very good, and salmon wasn't well done like many restaurants tend to do. Good service, full bar, and small but good menu.

Amazing dinner! The food was delicious and the service was the best we've had all week, big thank you to our server Christian. Service- He was warm, friendly, helpful (I had a headache and he expedited water and bread) was charming interacting with the table next to us, and offered plenty of advice for first time disney world visitors. Dinner- We started with the French onion soup- salty cheesy comfort after a long day in the park. I ordered the strip steak- fabulous. It was nicely seasoned steak with a crust of flavor and perfectly pink inside. I greatly appreciated a real vegetable on my plate, but found their sauce bland. My hunny ordered the Grand Burger- he said it was tasty a "real burger not what you get in the park" but if we went back he would try something else. Dessert- we opted for the sampler. All tasty but the stand out was the Mickey. Nice chocolate flavor without the sickeningly sweet flavor all the chocolate in the parks have. Over all dinner was a 4 and service a 5+

This place is a great place if you want a break from the parks. Even if you don't, it's still nice & wonderfully peaceful. We had lunch here around 2 & it wasn't busy at all. My husband & I split the famous cafe sandwich, which was so good. Simple, but soooo yummy! I had their key lime pie which was good, not too sweet which is my favorite. My husband had a berry tart which was also good & very fresh. We can't wait to visit again.

This is a great go-to place. The menu rarely varies, but it is always good and consistent. We have eaten here several times over the past few years and have never had a bad or even mediocre meal. The service is good, but typically not overly friendly. But it isn't rude either, Love the French Onion Soup!

We had a late lunch here before heading over to the MK for a few hours before Wishes Fireworks. Since we were not staying at The Grand Floridian, we drove there and valet parked then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. I made reservations through the Disney Online Dining reservation page. We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in with the hostess. We ordered crabcakes, the chicken sandwich and lobster burger. Lobster Burger is AMAZING!!! We will be going back in March just for this burger... It is $18 and worth every penny. Quiet restaurant. Great service always at Disney. No complaints with this meal- it definitely left an impression.

The Grand Floridian Cafe's food is solidly 5 stars, but our server was a sarcastic jerk, and the interior looks like a jar of potpourri exploded on the walls (not my style), so it's going to have to sit at 4 overall. SERVICE: We waited over 45 minutes to be seated for a RESERVATION that we arrived 5 minutes early for. That's really just too long. When we were finally seated, nobody even apologized for our wait, despite the fact that my husband and father-in-law each took a turn asking them how much longer it would be so they knew we were getting antsy. Then our server was seriously either having the worst day of his life or was just blatantly a jerk. He was rude to us, rolled his eyes when we asked questions about the menu, and seemed irritated anytime we asked for more water or something. It was all just not up to par with that classic Disney customer service. LAME. FOOD: This was so good, it almost made up for our awful server! -CARAMELIZED ONION SOUP was incredible! If you like French Onion Soup, watch out - this will blow your mind and make every onion soup you try in the future just seem inadequate. -GRAND SANDWICH was HUGE and super yummy! Could have easily been shared. -GRAND FLORIDIAN BURGER (beef patty + lobster) was simply to die for. It was an incredible mix of flavors coming together in a very large burger that left my husband full and so, so satisfied. -REUBEN made my mom-in-law pretty darn happy. She orders a reuben at every other restaurant we go to and said this was one of the best she's ever had. -MEGA-BERRY SMOOTHIE was the best smoothie we had during our trip. It was super fresh and very tasty. -KEY LIME TART & LEMON CHEESECAKE were both excellent! And the portions were small, which made them a nice pallet cleanser. You know... just a little something sweet to tell your tummy it's done. :] Would I go back here? The food was so good that I would definitely consider it, but if we end up with the same server, you can bet I'll be asking to sit at a different table.

I wish I could've yelled "STOP ASKING WHAT'S WRONG" I came here with my daughter who's a verrrry picky eater and we were on the deluxe dining plan. So I loved getting an appetizer (crab cake-one of the best I've ever had), bread (the salted butter is to die for), entree (strip steak, although next time I'm getting the shrimp n grits). The disappointing thing was the dessert. The fondue was gross. Anyway my daughter did eat her pizza, but didnt want and appetizer or dessert, but they force you to order one which of course didnt get eaten and then our server kept asking what was wrong. Also when someone asks you not to sing happy birthday--how about you don't push the subject? It also took FOREVER to get the check which was incredibly annoying. I would go back though because the food was yum.

Average... Don't get me wrong, the staff is very nice, but the service sucks. There is a long wait for 3 star food. The price is exorbitant and the food decent at best. There are kids running amuck. Only eat here if you really want two star food at five star prices.

We have come here for a character breakfast a few years ago which was really nice (although I really prefer the buffets for breakfast, and recommend the 1900 Cafe instead, which also has character breakfasts). And now we have come here for dinner (no characters involved, other than ourselves that is). The setting is really pretty and relaxing, and the service is very attentive and warm. After a day in the parks, it was just what we needed to relax without the craziness of children running around (other than our own, although they were well behaved). The food was good, but not the best I have had in Disney World, but the desserts and coffee were all very good and enjoyed. Although it was a small gesture, it is worth noting on the helpfulness of the staff that when I went to plug in my phone which was nearly dead, at an outlet near our table, the staff volunteered to take my phone, without my asking, and plugged it in at the host station. By the time dinner was over, the battery was just about full and I am grateful to the staff for this assistance.

Grand Floridian Café is really cool on the outside and feels a bit snooty as you drive up. Valet Parking is $12 or you can park yourself for free but it's across the street from the Resort and a bit of a walk. Reservations are a must. Service was far less than what I had hoped for with this kind of luxury environment and prices. The menu was shallow in choices but I had to Shrimp & Grits that were Ok. Only had 5 large shrimp and the grits were more wet than creamy. My daughter had the lobster topped hamburger that was nothing more than a hand patty burger served with a small rock lobster tail and they forgot to serve her side dish of chips. My son had the best meal at the table, a bone in sirloin steak with mash potatoes. My wife just had the salad and we all drink water with our meal. The bill was $160+ and we got less than 1/2 the food and less than 1/2 the quality of food that we had gotten the night before at Ohana. What a let down and shock to my wallet this place was. Well, chalk this one up to the no risk no reward learning experience. Over Priced and Under delivered on expectations.

Our favorite breakfast location on WDW property. Elegant and calm before the morning crowds hit. The Maple Vanilla French Toast is my favorite anywhere - I compare all French toasts to it wherever else we go.

Breakfast is good. Lots of large tables - so good for groups. Ate Christmas breakfast here with the family. I went with the eggs Benedict - wonderfully done! The family still had meal plan vouchers - so most went for steak and egg. They enjoyed it quite a bit. Staff was very friendly and helpful It being Christmas they were a bit overwhelmed, but did the best they could!
